Each year the Gallatin Valley Newcomers Club Board of Directors chooses a member who embodies the heart of our organization. In addition to recognizing this outstanding volunteer at the club’s annual meeting, GVNC also makes a donation to the nonprofit selected by the awardee in her name.
On April 6, 2023 the Heart of the Organization Award was presented to GVNC member Jule Blanco Boskey for her many years of continuing service to our club in a variety of roles. Jule designated that the board determined donation of $500 be given to Haven, the only nonprofit in the Gallatin Valley serving survivors of domestic violence, sex trafficking, and stalking.
Prior recipients of GVNC’s Heart of the Organization Award were Sue Lambert and Esther Leutwyler who selected the Gallatin Valley Food Bank and CASA/GAL of Gallatin Valley, respectively, as the nonprofits to benefit from the club’s donations in their names.
