Yesterday I met a stranger……. today that stranger is my friend!
WHO WE ARE
We are an organization of more than 250 women who have found ourselves and each other in this beautiful community. We come from many places across the USA. Some of us have just arrived; some have been here only a few years; others for many years. We came here to work, to retire to a beautiful area, to fish and ski, or to be near family and grandchildren. We love it here and welcome the opportunity to share the reasons Montana is proud to call itself “the Last Best Place!”
Become a member or just join us for an event to see what we’re all about. We are always welcoming new members, whether you are new to the area or have been a long-time resident. We offer many activities and interest groups with a variety of activities for you to choose from. It is a chance to make new friends or reconnect with old ones you have known. We are happy to tell you all about living in our wonderful community and help you find yourself around this area. Find out more on our Join Us page.
The Gallatin Valley Newcomers Club (GVNC) has numerous groups to join that are organized around specific activities. We have book clubs, bridge and pinochle groups, hiking, skiing, excursions (day trips), lunch bunch get-togethers, and many more. Members may join any or all groups they find interesting. Joining in on these groups gives you a great way to meet new friends and keep in touch with current friends. For more information on our groups, check out our Interest Groups page.
GVNC FUNDRAISING FOR CHARITY
Our Newcomers members are proud of the thousands of dollars that have been raised over the years for local charities. GVNC has been granted 501(c)(3) status by the IRS, which assures that the monies we raise are appropriately distributed. Our goals are to raise money to increase the well-being of others through charities in our community, as well as to raise awareness of the needs that exist in our local area. Our annual fundraising Charity Auction, Luncheon and Bake Sale occurs at our December luncheon. Read about our successes on About Us.
