GVNC’s 2024 Fundraising to Benefit Family Promise of Gallatin Valley

The Gallatin Valley Newcomers Club, a social and charitable organization, annually undertakes a fundraising campaign, with the proceeds benefiting a local non-profit chosen in the July vote of the membership.  This year we will be raising money for the Family Promise of Gallatin Valley for their kitchen/meeting space renovation project in their Emergency Shelter location.

Raffle Ticket sales kick off at the September 5th luncheon and we will pull ticket winners at the November 7th luncheon.  Our goal is to raise $30,000 and we look forward to your generosity, whether with ticket sales or direct contributions on our website (here).

Empowering Families

Family Promise of Gallatin Valley (FPGV) empowers families experiencing housing insecurities to secure a safe, affordable home, a livelihood, and the chance to build a better future for their children. We are the only organization in Gallatin Valley singularly focused on serving families with housing insecurity. FPGV provides comprehensive services to ensure that homelessness is brief and non-recurring. These services include homelessness Prevention and Diversion programs, Emergency Shelter, Transitional and Workforce Housing, and Rising Stars Early Learning Center.

FPGV is deeply committed to addressing the pressing issue of homelessness and improving the lives of children and families in our community. According to recent community statistics, the homelessness rate in our region has increased by 35% from 2019 to 2021, indicating a critical need for immediate action. During the 2023-2024 school year, the number of homeless students, K-12, in the Bozeman School District, increased by 73.3% over last year. These families face a range of complex challenges, including a lack of affordable housing, limited access to necessities, and the absence of comprehensive support systems to help them regain stability.

FPGV is serving more people than ever before, and 81% of children and families we serve in our housing programs do not experience homelessness again.
