DESCRIPTION:May 2026 Board Meeting\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nButte\, Montana\, was once one of the largest cities in the American Northwest. It attracted people from all around the world because of the mining being carried on there. \n\n\n\nWe will go on a guided tour 100 feet into the Orphan Girl Mine at 10:30 am to see the original shaft station. On this walking tour\, you will view one of the few exposed veins in North America that can be seen by the public.  We will also spend some time looking at the World Museum of Mining exhibits. \n\n\n\n\n\nAfter lunch\, we will have a guided tour of the spectacular frescoed interior of Holy Trinity Orthodox Church  [Serbian Orthodox Patriarchate].  Butte was home to a large population of Serbian immigrants who came from the area at the crossroads of Central and Southeastern Europe (formerly eastern Yugoslavia). \n\n\n\nGuests are welcome! \n\n\n\nMembers:  Login for more details and to register. \n\n\n\n\n\nLimited number of spots available
