Have you heard of axe throwing?  It’s the perfect indoor activity performed with groups of friends.  Lookout Axe Throwing in Four Corners has graciously offered to teach us the safety measures and throwing techniques for two hours on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at 3 pm.  For $28 each, up to 20 participants are assigned to one of six throwing bays where we can perfect our throwing skills under the master axe thrower’s supervision.  Closed toe shoes are required; flannel is encouraged.

After our axe throwing competition, we will head out for adult beverages and a burger at The Local in Belgrade.

Reserve your spot by Tuesday, December 28.

Payment required at time of registration. (If you wish to pay by check, please email MaryEllen below). With 20 participants, we can reserve the whole facility!  Non-refundable. (Plan to meet at the Target parking lot by the Costco traffic circle at 2:30 pm.)

For questions, please contact MaryEllen Freeman at [email protected].

10:00 am – 11:30 am

What is the history of the Bozeman Public Library?  Where and how did the library begin?  How is it that Bozeman had the first public LEED certified building in Montana?

Plan to attend a personal tour of the Bozeman Public Library given by Alice Meister, retired librarian who will provide us with the evolution of our beautiful facility and the headwinds she and her team battled to have the facility built.

Let’s meet at Lindley Perk (inside the library building) at 10:00 am. Alice will share some history while we are eating pastries and sipping coffee, then we will head into the library.

Cost:  FREE (but registration required)

Excursion to the Warming Center and the Food Bank

DATE: Wednesday, February 23rd
TIME: 10am

LOCATION: Meet at Gallatin Valley Food Bank (602 West Bond Street) and then head to the Warming
Center (2015 Wheat Drive)

With cold temperatures today and for the next few months, where do the homeless sleep? Take a tour
of Bozeman’s new Warming Center led by a HRDC guide. The Center offers seasonal shelter for
individuals or families with separate sleeping areas, and trained staff and volunteers on-site during
operating hours. Also learn about the Gallatin Valley Food Bank which serves a wide variety of
individuals, including working individuals and households whose income does not stretch to cover food.

Cost: FREE (but registration required)

The tour will be followed by a no-host lunch at Pizza Campania (1285 N Rouse Ave)
