Gallatin Valley Newcomers Club Supports Local Nonprofits

Annual Fundraiser

One of the priority missions of the Gallatin Valley Newcomers Club is to support local nonprofits, in recognition of the critical services they provide our community.  Since 2006, GVNC has conducted an annual fundraiser to benefit local nonprofits.  Applications are solicited and the membership votes on the 1 or 2 organizations to receive the funds raised.  In the last 10 years, we have raised over $150,000 through our annual fundraising events.

Due to restrictions imposed by COVID last year, we conducted a virtual fundraiser in October 2020, in lieu of our traditional in-person holiday auction.  The GVNC board decided to conduct a virtual fundraiser again for 2021.  The results of our membership balloting are in and our members selected CASA/GAL of Gallatin County to receive the funds raised during our 2021 virtual fundraising campaign which will be conducted over the course of the month of October.  We greatly appreciate the support we have received for our fundraisers over the years, and look forward to another successful campaign this fall!

Support for our Local Food Bank

The Gallatin Valley Newcomers Club is a strong supporter of the Gallatin Valley Food Bank.  In addition to members’ generous contributions of food and money at our monthly luncheons, we also generate funds for the food bank through AmazonSmile.  We encourage our membership to support our community businesses by shopping locally.  However, when we do shop on Amazon, we still support our community through our purchases.
